Beginning Dance

Description

Beginning Dance is a fun and engaging next step for young movers ready to dance independently! Designed for ages 2.5 to 5, this class introduces foundational skills through a playful blend of ballet, jazz, hip hop, acro, and creative movement.

With a focus on building coordination, musicality, strength, and confidence, dancers explore a variety of movement styles in a supportive, noncompetitive environment. Rooted in our core values, each class encourages imagination, self-expression, and developmental growth through movement.

Perfect for children ready to take the floor on their own, Beginning Dance is where joy, learning, and creativity come together—one skip, twirl, and tumble at a time.

General Info

A note about hair and jewelry: all dancers, regardless of gender, are expected to have and keep hair out of the face. It is a distraction and often a hazard when dangling loose or insecurely pulled back. Bangs or pieces of hair hanging down into the face or covering eyes are not acceptable. Necklaces, bracelets, toe rings, and any earrings (aside from studs) are very dangerous in class to the dancer wearing them and the dancers around them. They could get caught and yanked off inadvertently, fall off and be stepped on, and/or be lost/broken.
